Spooky Time!

Posted by Holly Gaskin on Wednesday, October 3, 2012,
Well, October is here, and in keeping with my yearly tradition, my front lawn looks like a graveyard. The skeleton is hanging out of the wishing well.Spiderwebs, witches and ghosts adorn my porch windows.  I still need to get some pumpkins. It's looking very spooktacularly festive at the Gaskin residence!

Looking forward to the Appleumpkin Festival at Flower Memorial Library this Saturday. I've known about it for years, but this is the first year I'm able to take part. I'll be there, signing ...

Fall is Here!

Posted by Holly Gaskin on Wednesday, September 26, 2012,
My favorite season is upon us... autumn, beautiful autumn! I'm looking forward to seeing the changing leaves and feeling the crisp, cool air on my face. And, of course, October means Halloween! I get to get out in the world and promote "Tricked" as though it were a new book! Yay! Please check out my "appearances" page to see where I will be.

Be well... I'll try to update more often.

New Places & Faces

Posted by Holly Gaskin on Sunday, August 12, 2012,
I've been having a fun summer of book signings so far! I have discovered the Philly Farmers Market, which is held on Saturdays from 9AM- 2PM in the Philly shopping plaza. It's a small but fun venue, with lots of fresh veggies, baked goods, wine and a food van! Henderson Heritage Day was a blast. I sold books and met with my "Too Many Kitties" artist. Plus, I think my husband may have won the juried arts show!

Well, back to Philly on 8/18, unless something comes up. I'm already trying to book ...

Too Many Kitties

Posted by Holly Gaskin on Tuesday, July 10, 2012,
I have completed writing my children's book, Too Many Kitties. I got the manuscript back fro Adirondack Editing and am in the process of making the suggested changes. I also found a talented artist to do the illustrations. Exciting stuff! I'll keep you all updated!

I was about a third of the way through writing the follow-up to Tricked, called Jinxed, when I realized there was a problem. It sucked. Starting over from scratch, at a time TBD.

Book signings coming up in Sandy Creek and Lowville n...

Lowville, NY

Posted by Holly Gaskin on Tuesday, September 13, 2011,
I had a very enjoyable time at the Lowville Free Library this past Saturday. It was fun hanging out with author friends like Marcus Mastin and Joseph Sweet and meeting new writers, like Dave Andalora. I also had fun chatting with Dawn from the library. I didn't realize who she was when I talked with her on the phone to book my appearance, but it turns out we have met before, via my job at the radio station. We have a friend in common. You know what they say about "six degrees of separa...

Two Appearances This Week!

Posted by Holly Gaskin on Sunday, August 7, 2011,
I am very excited to have TWO author appearances this week... First on Wednesday 8/10 at the Clayton Library and then the Summer Arts Festival, downtown Watertown on Saturday 8/13. Hope to see lots of old and new readers there!

I am having so much fun revisiting Patrick and Mariah as I begin writing the follow-up to "Tricked." Both the characters and myself, as an author, have grown so much since the first installment! I am pondering just the right title for it. "Cell" is already taken.. dang...
